This time, we allowed all the 624,977 people living in Vermont to be jurors by picking up various signals they created, including reviews, online & offline sentiment metrics, citations, Google search result rankings, links between websites, brand mentions, social media activity, and more.

Essentially, this competition focuses on eye care medical experience, communication skills, commitment to evidence-based medical care, and overall patient satisfaction. We discovered and reviewed all 481 optometry clinics & eye doctors in Vermont, then shortlisted 46 who provide comprehensive eye care, including vision exams, treatment of eye diseases (such as cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration), eye surgery, and more. Finally, we ranked them based on their qualifications/education, referrals from other caregivers, professional reputation, and involvement in research, publications, or contributions to the field of ophthalmic medicine.
