CUTTS: Michael Quinn in Australia asks a great question: Will it be possible to target an operating system in AdWords anytime soon? It would be nice to target OS X Mac users in the same way we can target by location, language, or other options. Should be an easy thing to do? He asks. Well, AdWords is not my area so I don’t know. But that seems like a great suggestion, so I’m more than happy to pass it on. In general, you know, it would be really neat if you could say, “Hey, you’re running Microsoft Windows. Would you like to use Microsoft Windows software?” You don’t want to waste that advertising on people who aren’t likely to buy your product. So, I’m afraid the short answer is I have no idea but it’s a really good suggestion and I’ll pass it on. I don’t know whether it would be high on the team’s priority list, but it seems like it would be a fun way to be able to target users.
