This browser based online SEO tool is a bulk HTTP server code checker used to verify the HTTP status code of each URL provided below. It is useful to SEOs who want to filter a bunch of webpages based on their response code or to webmasters who perform a routine health check on their websites. You can also check your competitors out or use it for “broken link building”.
When a client (browser or spider) performs a request to a web server (asking for a page on a site, for instance), the server returns an HTTP status code in response to that request. This HTTP response status code provides information about the state of the request, i.e. about the website and the requested page. Each HTTP status code falls into one of the five classes:
Firstly, you can check multiple URLs at once, so you better create a bulk list of valid URLs, i.e. – ones that include the http:// prefix. Next, paste the bulk list into the text area and hit the magic button. Voila – all your HTTP status codes! No Captcha, no headaches, superfast and super free! The bonus – each code is assigned a color, which shows the health state of that particular URL. Green URLs are OK, red and black are bad, obviously. Also note that the special code -1 isn’t actually a valid HTTP code, but it reflects a general error, for example a bad host.
